Angel Sanctuary Licenced...?

"New manga licenses (07:14 PM EST): Viz editor Carl Horn confirmed in the forums today their Anime Weekend Atlanta announcements for some of their newest manga licenses. Both ANGEL SANCTUARY and HANA ZAKARI NO KIMITACHI E ("Hana-Kimi") are now licensed and set to release in the spring of 2004. Both are currently planned as bi-monthly releases."

Of all people, VIZ... who are going to take *years* to get through it (if ever, given their sporadic stops-and-starts track record with the other series they're doing) and who dumb down and Ranma-fy just about everything I've ever seen them do...

Yes...I found out about this too... ;_; bi monthly releases? Does that mean a manga is released every 2 months? And if so...20 volumes....about 6 volumes a year...over 3 years.... ;_;

I'm so glad I downloaded Angel Sanctuary before this.

I'm not too fussed over AS *hides* but I love Hana-Kimi...
The thing is, all the forum people were all 'I'm so glad TP didn't get because they're awful!' o.o
*hasn't personally found anything to hate by Tokyopop*

Ever heard of Intial D? They basically fucked it all up (especially the anime version). Anime version had changed names, music, engine sounds, everything. Granted that's only for the dub, but man, they don't deserve my money.

Grrrr this is probably one of my biggest peeves ever. Why does VIZ keep licensing manga after manga if they can't even bother to release the ones they licensed five years ago first?

Same here...but even so, I have the *moral* duty of buying it... it's just that bi-monthly? who was the genious who decide that?

you viz should hire all the ppl from the independant scanlation sites. i mean you guys get ppl who get mad at you for not updating a site in two weeks..........they wait freakin two months.

i am soo glad i was able to the scanlations.

has viz even completed a series?! they shouldnt pack on so much work if they take so freakin long
